Welcome to the United States!
This is Katie and
Kenny. They live in the
USA and they go to school. Katie says
"We are not required to wear uniforms to school in the
U.S. We wear
pretty much whatever we please, within reason."
In truth there are a few public schools and most all private
schools
that do require uniforms. Here you are given lunch at school everyday.
Kenny is 9 and in the third grade, and he likes working on
computers and
hunting. "I like to fish allot too." He says.
Katie is 12 and also
likes to fish and talk to her friends on the phone.
Katie and Kenny live in a solid house, and have running water
and plenty
to eat. They love to play and run around with their friends Jeff and
Hailey. They have chores to do every day. Katie is in charge of washing
dishes and Kenny takes care of feeding the pets and cleaning up after them. They
have 3 cats a dog and a hedgehog. Also 3 little turtles they are caring for till
spring.
These
kids live in the land of plenty and are grateful for all the
things they have, especially after reading about some of my other friends who
have little or nothing!
Kenny wants to build monster trucks or be an artist when he grows up, and Katie wants to be a singer or maybe a music teacher.
Most all of the United States experience some different seasons. This is how we spent one snowy afternoon. Building this 10 foot tall snowman. "You can't make a snowman with just any snow. It has to be special packing snow." Kenny says. Oh and that's Hailey standing in the middle she helped us.
